Tokaido ‘s Ultimate Saw karate-gi is a 100% cotton karate-gi made in Japan. Ideal for daily training. Known in Japan as “Saw”, it is tough, durable, soft and comfortable. For many years, the Tokaido Ultimate Saw karategi has been recognized as a superior choice by top-level karatekas.

How to choose your size

It’s usually best to choose a kimono about 5 centimetres longer than your waist.

But be warned: Tokaido’s Ultimate Saw really does have a traditional cut, with long sleeves and legs that, once tapered, cover the wrists and ankles. As this kimono shrinks by around 7%, when you receive it it will seem too long, as the sleeves will reach over your hands and the pants over your feet. It will shrink by about 5 cm, so try it on by turning the sleeves and pants inside out by that much before thinking of making an exchange.
