Tokaido was the world’s very first producer of Karate-Gi. Before that, there was no Karategi, and karate was practised in ordinary clothes or even judo uniforms.

Inspired by passion, Tokaido reflects a tradition of quality since 1956. Their karate kimonos benefit from their extensive pioneering experience and are still considered the world standard.

The cotton used at Tokaido comes from a centuries-old process used to make Japan’s finest cotton textiles.

For this reason, these Karategi are very sturdy and will last for decades if you take good care of them. Discover them for yourself and you’ll understand why top athletes and passionate karatekas choose Tokaido.
