Origins

Yoseikan Budo(養正館武道) is a martial art born in the 1960s and officially founded in 1975 by Hiroo Mochizuki. The teaching of this martial art blends several combat techniques including percussion, projections, immobilizations, chokes and may also include weapons.

Values

Yoseikan Budo is represented by a logo that symbolizes man's eternal quest for perfection, which he can never attain. It reminds the individual of his human condition, inviting him to remain modest.

This martial art incorporates a grading system ranging from 9th to 1st Kyu and from 1st to 7th dan. However, there is no color scale representing the evolution of practitioners of this discipline. The belt worn by a beginner will be the same as that of a master: a blue and white belt.
