Makiwara Kamikaze Professional with Floor Fixture

This Makiwara Kamikaze is fixed to the floor. It is used as a training tool in various styles of traditional karate. It enables you to develop your striking ability with the closed fist, open hand and elbows (tsuki, uchi, uké).

The Makiwara consists of a metal iron base painted with black protective paint, a flexible hardwood base and a black leather striking pad. All necessary screws and metal plugs are supplied.

The wood is treated with a protective varnish that leaves no film. This allows it to “move” without cracking. The base is made of solid, non-flexible metal.

To fix this Makiwara, 2×4 holes must be drilled in a sturdy floor for 14mm dowels. Each piece (those on either side of the wood) is 20 cm x 10 cm.

The total surface area would therefore be :
